Importance of Mechanical Insulation

Mechanical insulation serves many purposes.  The primary being energy conservation and reduction of greenhouse gases.  Mechanical Insulation is thermal insulation used on piping, equipment, and all types of mechanical systems, including boilers, HVAC systems, and ducts.

Proper insulation of mechanical components can:

  • Increase the efficiency of a system
  • Increase the lifespan of equipment
  • Act as a safety measure, protecting personnel from hot or cold surfaces
